Cracking Read!

Throw yourself into the intriguing world of international espionage with this page-turner by promising first-time novelist Shaheera Huggins. Huggins has combined glamorous locations, daring plot developments and fun characters in this ripping yarn. I absolutely loved it! Hooked, to the very last page.

Brilliant First Novel!

Huggins writes with a cleverness that keeps me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next! Her characters and dialogue are sharp, darkly comedic, and out of the box, which makes her stories read like a hit show. She’s a fresh talent with a compelling and relatable lens and I cannot wait to read more from her!

Outstanding Spy Thriller

Shaheera’s ability to tell stories matter-of-factly with heart is an art form that is quintessentially Australian while still being a fresh approach needed in the current landscape. Her strength in dialogue and character development is unmatched. Watch this space.

Jack's Boys

(tv series)

Jack’s brothers keep her on her toes: Tommy’s jacked body hides his suicidal desires, Eddie’s penchant for carjacking is topped only by Benji’s proclivity for jacking off, while Angus is a jack of all trades, having inherited a taste of all his sibling’s traits. But what would Jack do without them? And what would they do without Jack? This is the story of Jack’s Boys.

Two Sleeps

(tv series)

A group of twenty-somethings cross paths throughout inner Sydney, where they work and play to the soundtrack of Mick’s pub cover band. Emma and Adam are the beating hearts of their friendship groups – for both, their friends are their family, and they would move heaven and earth for their friends, and sometimes they have to. But eventually, soon, hopefully, Emma and Adam will be able to stop for a moment and see each other. Because that would be heaven on earth. In the meantime, Chelsea, The Melon, Paige, Jesse, Dylan and Mick will keep themselves, and each other, entertained.

Corrections

(feature film)

When a sociopathic child killer is released on parole and into the supervision of Anna, he sends her a message to leave him alone. When Anna doesn’t follow his demands, he shows her the reach of his power and immorality. Within quick succession, he exposes Anna to a drug overdose, suicide, car accident, kidnapping, blackmailing sexting scandal, hostage situation, and a murder. He revels in the game of destroying Anna’s world. While he takes advantage of the lengths a mother will go to protect her children, Anna learns how fine the line is between the law-less and the law-abiding.

Corrections

(tv series)

Anna attempts to correct the offending behaviour of the criminals she supervises, and the offensive behaviour of her teenage daughters. Seemingly, the eight episodes are about Anna’s attempts to correct the behaviour of her offenders and her children. But the true subject of the story is Anna. And her attempts to correct herself.

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Hey, I’m Shaheera, and this is where I’m supposed to tell you about myself, which is difficult because I hate talking about myself (also maybe why I write fiction). Speaking of fiction, in addition to my novel Rogue Assassins, I am working on several screenplays for television and film. When I’m not writing, I’m a public servant (as much fun as it sounds). I live outside of Sydney, with my family and my terrible, wonderful dog, Captain. I do not like jelly nor custard, but I absolutely adore pilates, live music, my hairdresser, and parenting teenagers (again, fiction).
